Pain Management:

We treat acute and chronic pain using a biopsychosocial approach that considers psychological and social factors, as well as the underlying biological mechanisms and physical manifestations of pain. Our treatments combine different therapies that may include, but are not limited to, low-level laser therapy (LLLT), natural supplements, medical cannabis, functional exercises, and vitamin and micronutrient infusions.

What is LLLT?

We use low-level lasers (LLLT) manufactured by Erchonia, specialists in the research and production of devices designed to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and address symptoms associated with a wide variety of health conditions, as well as to treat fungal infections of the feet.

Each Erchonia cold laser product is designed to effectively target muscles and tissues to promote natural healing. Low-level lasers stimulate the body’s light-sensitive components to produce an effect similar to photosynthesis in plants—the mitochondria in the cells are activated, prompting them to naturally produce more ATP (the main energy source for our cells).

With Erchonia’s portable red and violet handheld laser device, you get more than just a typical cold laser. Red and violet lasers emit different wavelengths to stimulate different types of healing, providing greater versatility in treatments. More conditions can be treated with a single device, allowing for a more personalized treatment plan.

Erchonia Lasers

We have two XLR8 (Red Laser) devices and the Erchonia EVRL laser, which emits two wavelengths: 405nm (Violet Laser) and 635nm (Red Laser).

The Erchonia Red Laser operates at a wavelength of 635nm and has been proven effective in relieving chronic pain such as neck and shoulder pain. Its healing properties offer patients a safer, healthier alternative to drugs and corrective surgery.

The Erchonia Violet Laser combines wavelengths of 635nm and 405nm, making it effective in treating dermatological conditions and certain types of pain. It has shown success in reducing acne and promoting healthier skin. Together, the red and violet lasers provide unmatched treatment flexibility.

Conditions and Symptoms Relieved:

The combination of lasers in this innovative design offers unique antibacterial and antimicrobial properties and can treat a wide range of conditions, including:

1Chronic back pain
Chronic pain is defined as pain lasting more than 3 to 6 weeks, or longer than the normal healing time of tissues. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimated that in 2016, 20.4% of U.S. adults had chronic pain and 8.0% had high-impact chronic pain. Chronic pain is associated with an annual cost conservatively estimated between $560 to $635 billion and is linked to poor physical and mental functioning as well as reduced quality of life, making it the leading cause of disability. Chronic pain is connected to a variety of conditions and is influenced by multiple biological, psychological, and social factors. Therefore, the optimal approaches to chronic pain management must consider psychological and social elements, as well as the underlying biological mechanisms and physical manifestations of chronic pain (the "biopsychosocial" framework). About 80% of adults experience low back pain at some point in their lives. Of these, approximately 60% are treated with opioids, despite the opioid epidemic and their minimal effectiveness (around 30%). In a clinical trial using Erchonia’s laser, a 72% success rate was demonstrated, leading to FDA approval in May 2018 for the treatment of chronic low back pain. With this innovative laser, the pain management community now offers patients a safer and more effective treatment option that helps them get back on their feet in a short time.
2Neck and Shoulder Pain
A variety of low-level lasers have been proven effective in reducing and eliminating acute and chronic pain in the neck and shoulders. Many patients find this solution to be a much more immediate and effective alternative to traditional painkillers. Combined with chiropractic care and other physical therapy modalities, Erchonia lasers can help patients live normal, active, and healthy lives free of debilitating pain.
3Acne
Currently, there are many acne treatments available in the form of pills, lotions, tonics, chemical products, and more. However, Erchonia has developed a new solution using violet light laser therapy. It has been FDA-approved to eliminate the skin bacteria responsible for causing acne, targeting the root cause rather than the skin’s surface. This treatment does not irritate skin cells because it attacks acne at its source. Instead of spending months or years on strong antibiotics, creams, and other products, patients can now treat their acne with painless low-level laser therapy. Looking Ahead Cold lasers are currently being studied for use against viruses, scars, burns, wound healing, and much more. Although this is a relatively new field of medicine, Erchonia’s commitment to low-level laser therapy has led to major advances in treating a variety of conditions using laser technology. The future of medical lasers is certainly bright.
